Hello love birds, I'm Victoria
I’ve always been a creative person. Photography started as one of many outlets and slowly became the one I couldn’t put down. Now I run Velvet Dove Visuals, photographing weddings and lifestyle sessions across Dallas-Fort Worth. On the day, I keep things relaxed. I’ll give you a little direction when it helps, make you laugh when you’re starting to feel stiff, and otherwise stay out of the way so you can actually enjoy it.
My style is documentary with a nostalgic, film-inspired feel. I’m not interested in trends or perfectly staged shots. I care about the real moments: an inside joke, a hand squeeze during the vows, your grandmother’s face right before the ceremony. Those are the photos that hold up years later. My goal is simple: when you look through your gallery, it should feel like your story, not a performance of it.

I'm chill, laid back and never the photographer making you perform for the camera. I'd rather let moments unfold naturally than force a pose that feels stiff. My approach is simple: go with the flow. When you're relaxed, the photos are honest, and that's what I care about most. No pressure, no scripts, just you being yourselves in front of my lens.
About My Personality
Why Velvet Dove Visuals?
The name is personal to me. Velvet is one of my favorite materials, soft and rich, much like the way I want your photos to feel. Burgundy and wine are my favorite colors, deep and romantic. And the mourning dove has always felt symbolic to me, quiet and gentle. Together, they became a name that feels true to who I am.
When I'm not shooting, you'll find me listening to music, Joji, jazz, alternative, whatever fits the mood. I collect vinyls, film cameras and mugs, small pieces that tell their own stories. I'm also endlessly curious about science and space, always learning something new. These are the little things that shape how I see the world, and how I shoot it too.
Outside of Photography
I believe the best photos happen when you're not trying to look a certain way. I create space for real moments instead of forced poses, because genuine emotion always photographs better than a perfect smile on command.

My goal isn't a flawless, staged gallery. It's capturing you as you actually are on one of the most important days of your life, so when you look back, it feels like being there again, not like a performance.
I want to know your story before I ever pick up my camera. When there's trust and comfort between us, it shows in the photos. You're not just a client to me, you're a couple I genuinely care about capturing well.
